As much as I love Goomba Goom at the moment, I can see it getting really old really soon.

I'm sorry. I avoided Ted Rall the same way I would avoid a glob of spit on the sidewalk. I don't know what Goomba Goom really means.

But I wish the blogger well.

Smart move, Rebecca; I regret seeing the cartoon myself. Just think of it as "In yer face, turdhead!" for Ted Raunch

Arafat's dead. Goomba Goom!

Posted by: Kaboom at November 11, 2004 at 02:25 PM

I clicked on the "view my profile" to see who it was, and all it says is: Blog Name Goomba Goom!

Is this supposed to be a joke?

In fact, I think the newly elected member for Kingsford-Smith used to sing this song quite often - it could have been penned for Arafat, given his belated demise on 11th November:

You're watching people fighting, you're watching people losing
On Armistice Day

The watchers do the wincing, reporters so convincing
But the TV never lies
I went looking for a war, but the only guns I saw
Never used in anger

You're watching people fight, say they fight, oh say they lose
On Armistice Day

The fixers do the fixing, the locals do the lynching
The papers deny
I went looking for a headline, got talking to the backline
They'd never seen the action

Goomba Goom!

I'm fairly sure "Goomba Goom!" was stolen by Rall from "Paper Mario 2", which I'm currently playing.

When the Protest Warriors chant "GOOM! BA! GOOM!" at a demonstration, then it'll be time to retire it.

Even if you have are tired of, or trying to avoid, Goomba Goom .. the new site is worth a visit. You don't have to be versed in Goomba Goom to enjoy the postings.

One of the pleasant differences between those who are 'mentally challenged' (Bush supporters) and those who are creating fairy tales about 'JesusLand' or talking about some US states seceding from the Union, is the humor.

Those who are trying to portray Bush supporters as moronic, religious fanatics must be further enraged by the fact that we don't take them seriously. Just take what they say and turn it into something to laugh about.

It's rather sad they can't see how funny their arguments have become.

Have you seen Ted Rall's latest (written) effort?

"Why shouldn't those of us on the coasts feel superior? We eat better, travel more, dress better, watch cooler movies, earn better salaries, meet more interesting people, listen to better music and know more about what's going on in the world."

I love the smell of arrogance in the morning.. its the smell of.. of victory. (for us!)

Check it out
