REALITY GRASPED

Karl Rove is evidently a member of the reality-based community:

Hours before it was clear that US President George W Bush had won the election, Karl Rove told his boss to rest easy.

Working from a bank of computers on the first-floor of the White House, Bush's political guru absorbed the turnout numbers, checked his target projections in swing states and concluded that the bitterly contested race was over.

"Karl was calling states long before the networks did," a Bush confidant said. "His grasp of reality was totally uncanny."

Not bad for a college dropout.

You have to wonder, did it occur to the exit pollers that there might be a shift among voters during the day?

Actually it quite possibly did occur to them, to be fair. It may not have occurred to those reporting them.

The only amazing thing about Karl Rove calling the shots before the MSM did is that the MSM still won't accept that they were wrong....wait, what am I saying? That's business as usual for the MSM.

"Karl was calling states long before the networks did," a Bush confidant said. "His grasp of reality was totally uncanny."

Or maybe their grasp of reality leaves a bit to be desired.

Of course he was calling states before the MSM. After buying the election all he had to do is check the receipts. insert maniacal laughter here>[/sarcasm]

Hey, thats unforgivable slander. Everyone knows that Rove doesnt buy elections, he steals them :)

(toggle moonbat) From Rove's lips to Diebold's ears?(untoggle moonbat)

I'm sure this quote will appear in every "Diebold lied, kids died" conspiracy theory from now until 2008.

Posted by: DWC at November 9, 2004 at 03:21 AM

Big deal. Everyone was calling them before MSM. They wouldn't call Florida when Bush was 300,000 votes ahead on 99% counted.

Posted by: Quentin George at November 9, 2004 at 05:41 AM

Please ,...Please---Do some homework.

Where Paper-Ballots were used---the exit polls agreed with the vote,

...but where tamperable DRE electronic voting machines were used--- the Machines gave bush many more votes than the exit polls indicated.

The CEO of Diebold which makes electron voting machines promised that he would make sure that bush won.
Why Kerry conceeded the election so quickly makes many Americans very suspicious that Kerry and bush's common "Skull and CrossBones" secret society membership may have more to do with the election result that is apparent.

also, john howard's son tim, was working on the bush election staff.

john howard opened the election campaign with 'who do you trust?' and was a constant theme thru out. after howard won and he talked to gwb notice how bush suddenly started using the same 'who do you trust?' theme at the end of his campaign.

Well, I'm a Freemason and I work for the 5 Jew Bankers that control the world. They gave me a tally sheet at least two weeks in advance of the election. I was calling them way before ol'Darth Rove. So there.

Bob Donatelle, your post is especially ironic in light of the fact that this thread is titled "Reality Grasped". I'd like to point out that the voices in your head do not constitute "many suspicious Americans". But keep ranting away...the men in the white coats will be around shortly, don't worry.

"Many Americans [are] very suspicious that Kerry and bush's common "Skull and CrossBones" secret society membership may have more to do with the election result that is apparent"

A completely fabricated and ridiculous pseudo-conspiracy theory is homework?

Like Australians, we Americans elected the man whom we trust more to win the war on terror, by convincing margins. Advance Australia Fair! God Bless America! As for Skull and Crossbones, they can remain obscure and secretive and widely ignored.

Posted by: Butch at November 9, 2004 at 07:13 AM

Chris is lying. I AM one of the 5 Jew bankers who run the world and the only person we told was Alan Greenspan. What we did NOT tell him is that he isn't, as he believes, one of the 6 Jew bankers who run the world. Fnord.

Posted by: Paul Zrimsek at November 9, 2004 at 08:19 AM

I want a Fnord. What is it?

Posted by: Janice at November 9, 2004 at 08:47 AM

It's a small car that Ford manufactures to sell to French dwarfs.

Bob Donatelle, if I were a kind man, I'd gently point out that blame projection is an unhealthy mental activity, and that accepting responsibility for your actions will result in a happier and healthier life.

But I'm not kind. You either need to open the curtains and get some sunshine and fresh air, or seek professional help. Possibly both.

The skull and crossbones secret society does exist. Each year they hold a top secret meeting in that pyramid on mars. Also that face on mars? It is actually a pretty passable likeness of Karl Rove.

Oh and the moon landings? They were faked - all of them. Rove did it years ago to get Bush elected cause he knew it would help take down the Russians.

Damn this tin-foil hat really chafes you eh?

Posted by: Rob at November 9, 2004 at 11:52 AM

Rob -

don't forget - shiny side OUT.

That'll cure that chafing.

Posted by: mezzrow at November 9, 2004 at 12:52 PM

Janice:

You're not cleared for that.

Kerry and bush's common "Skull and CrossBones" secret society membership may have more to do with the election result that is apparent.

There's no such thing as "Skull and Crossbones"

It's "Skull and Bones".

"john howard opened the election campaign with 'who do you trust?' and was a constant theme thru out. after howard won and he talked to gwb notice how bush suddenly started using the same 'who do you trust?' theme at the end of his campaign"

The 'trust' line is original?

Of course it is, if you define original as "very old, and used by almost everybody for decades"

Alan and Paul, do you play GURPS?
