LATHAM FLIP-FLOPS ON HATE
Janine Lacy says her husband cares for all Australians:
"It's Mark's personal commitment to give all Australians a fair go in life."
I wonder if that includes all the Australians he hates?
Two years ago, he told Maxine McKew in The Bulletin that he was a "hater" who disliked "the other side with intensity". Five years before that, Latham told Craig McGregor in Good Weekend that he "grew up thinking" that Sydney's North Shore "is the enemy" and added: "I still think that."
Sheesh. And people call John Howard a divider. At least Latham is sticking by his troubled Queensland candidate Ivan Milat; I guess that’s because Ivan (shown here ... or maybe here) isn’t from the hated North Shore:
"Milat was once a constituent of mine," he explained. "He's now in Goulburn jail."
Meanwhile, this quote from Molloy/Milat hasn't received much attention:
In December 2002, Dr Molloy blamed Australia and the US for terrorism.
"If the West in general and the US in particular are really serious about stamping out terrorism and state promoters of this activity, we would be turning our guns not only on the Russians, Chinese, Irish, Spanish, French, virtually all our allies and even back on ourselves, but most importantly also on the US itself," he said in a public speech.
I'm glad Latham hasn't disendorsed him. We need more people like Molloy in the ALP.
Posted by Tim Blair at September 29, 2004 04:07 PMIt hasn't received much attention because it's an obvious truism. And half the keyboard-warriors who comment here have labelled France, Spain &c. "terrorist appeasers" and "objectively pro-terrorist" and whatever other stupid thing you want to make up, so you're hardly in a position to be hurling stones about.
Posted by: akman at September 29, 2004 at 04:53 PMWell, Latham he can be the Minister for Hate, I'm sure Howard would let him have the title.
Posted by: M Rintoule at September 29, 2004 at 04:55 PMIf Latham wins, I predict a brilliant future for Dr Ivan Milat PhD (USC). He has already outgrown the obscurity of department head at his backwater campus: the world stage is calling!
But where best to use his undoubted talents? A gun-toting academic - shades of Angela Davis at Berkeley - where can Mark best place him? Roving ambassador and UN Human Rights Commisssion have already been suggested, but really there is only one role for trigger-happy Ivan: to oversee the withdrawal of the Aussie forces from Iraq by Xmas. Only a man of Ivan's Schwarzenegger, steely determination could blast his way in, massacre the terrorists and get our boys safely home. An AO awaits you Ivan if you pull it off, not to mention a Hollywood script or two.
Posted by: Freddyboy at September 29, 2004 at 04:56 PMIt's true: the Spanish promote terrorism by occupying al Andalus; the Irish by being Catholic; the French by suppressing headscarves... the list of abuses is endless.
Islam = submission. Just friggen submit already.

and worst of all the Americans, by putting women's underwear on the heads of Iraqi terrorists and making them masturbate. I myself have undergone this hideous torture on several occasions, and the horrible pelvic inflammation and dehydration that resulted from this barbarity simply defies belief.
Posted by: Clem Snide at September 29, 2004 at 06:24 PMi wonder if 'iron' mark's going to cry like a little girl when he's beaten like a red-headed stepchild on election night?
Posted by: rosceo at September 29, 2004 at 06:55 PMYes Mr. Milat is right, the guns of Australia must be turned against the satanic ones.
AKBAR THE GREAT
Posted by: AKBAR THE GREAT at September 29, 2004 at 07:31 PMYes Mr. Milat is right, the guns of Australia must be turned against the satanic ones. Mr. Milat must be a very good Muslim.

Doc Malloy eh?
As usual another old dead white man seems to have it sussed.
"The modern fallacy is to educate people beyond their intelligence"
And without exception they all live subsidised lives.
Have you noticed that the phrase, "My constituent" or "A constituent of mine" always comes from the left. Implies ownership or something. The Right seems to prefer: "I represent...", or "a voter in my district".
That's right, they want to own you. Run away....
Posted by: Doc at September 30, 2004 at 12:10 AMMolloy:- What the F! Another leftie, 'academic' idiot that just is just hanging to have his living head sawn off.
I watched Jenny Brockies program on SBS the other night. It was about how young people would vote and their oppinions etc. A sensible young dude was a farmer. He sees first hand the struggle for life and death on the land you see. Most of the rest were effete wankers just being 'academic' with glorious solutions. Yes their young and all but what will it take? A ravaged, supine economy and a ban on Christmas!!??
Posted by: Dog at September 30, 2004 at 02:24 AMConsidering Dr Molloy's wife, Cate, is an advocate of nude bathing in Noosa, i wonder how many of Dr Molloy's muslim comerades sign Cate's petitions???
Its just another typical hypocracy from the left - its ok for third world citizens to live under communist/islamic/marxist/socialist/anarchic dictatorship, but they don't want any part of it for themselves. I think there is some degree of racism in this - only blacks, arabs, asians, etc should live under dictatorships while white europeans deserve democracy.

No, not quite. Whites don't deserve democracy either, it's just that Molloy and his ilk haven't figured out yet how to declare themselves dictator (well-meaning, no doubt, because they care) yet, so they're living vicariously through all the tinpot dictators and "resistance movements" that already infest the world.
