Delay in Hicks trial 'an injustice': Pentagon-cleared lawyer

Lawyers for David Hicks have accused the Bush administration of trying to rush the alleged Australian terrorist to trial.

Sad but true. It reminds me of a letter to a newspaper this week trumpeting that hopefully "Hicks would be home by Christmas" . Apart from the fact that it is a 'racist' and 'insensitive' comment to impose our cultural/religious timelines on a believer, I have to wonder whether any of these dingalings are ever affected in any way, shape or form, by the actions of people like Hicks.

Why not just ship him back to Afghanistan? That's where he wants to be, after all. Oh, and notify the new Afghani government so they can arrange a proper welcome.

How dare George W Bush try to do something I might agree with.
