Wicked cool to read about shenanigans Down East* from our favorite blogger Down Under.

*When ships sailed from Boston to ports in Maine (which were to the east of Boston), the wind was at their backs, so they were sailing downwind, hence the term “Down East.”

While as a West Aussie I should be espousing the superiority of our crayfish (sorry, western rock lobster), I have to tell you those damned New England cold water lobsters ARE better!

With fond greetings to anyone who knows Alisson's restaurant in Dock Square, Kennebunkport. Great lobsters, chili and CHOWDAH, ayuh!
