this is a test
do not be alarmed. this is only a test.
Posted by Andrea Harris at October 15, 2003 12:38 PMOh heck. Now that you guys have commented, I don't feel right about deleting this post. I'm just testing some code. I'm afraid it failed. But don't feel bad! Nobody gets Fs anymore, or so I have heard.
Posted by: Andrea Harris at October 15, 2003 at 12:46 PMTwo of my comments 'failed' to post initially; but then posted twice after retry. Is it just me?
Posted by: ilibcc at October 15, 2003 at 12:49 PMNo -- I was trying to implement MT-Blacklist (an anti-spam plugin for Movable Type) and all it did was make posting and commenting hang. I don't know if it was the plugin -- nothing in the documentation about it -- or me, or the server was having a spasm. In any case, I reset the blog to pre-plugin mode.
Posted by: Andrea Harris at October 15, 2003 at 12:53 PM"Pre plug-in mode"
That's what us guys do when we get good looking women liquored up and persuade them that we're a lot richer than we are.
Posted by: superboot at October 15, 2003 at 01:03 PMI didn't have a drama plugging it in. Did you make the subdirectories? and set the permissions?
Those are the only things that can go wrong, I think.
Scott: well, I thought I did. The configuration page came up nicely, and I was able to add extra sites to the add-on list... maybe I will just deleted the plugin stuff and upload it again -- start fresh. Tomorrow.
Posted by: Andrea Harris at October 15, 2003 at 01:14 PMWould it help if I sent you some spam? I have quite a collection of 419 letters...
Andrea- best of luck, anyway. Hopefully Jay will be awake in the morning!
Triticale- Generous of you!
Posted by: Scott Wickstein at October 15, 2003 at 01:24 PMUnlike the rest of you - I LIKE SPAM!! Seriously, bby responding to these things I will be getting:

More money than Bill Gates from all the money transfer fees I am getting from various funds in Nigeria, Iraq, the Congo and lately Afghanistan :)

Posted by: Gary at October 15, 2003 at 02:16 PMIf you opened it up for pornsite spam, it could be testes.

Q: Who am I? (clue, has oral fixation)
Posted by: Jake D at October 15, 2003 at 02:52 PMThis test is more popular than any of Tim's posts - here is your future Tim !
Posted by: jerry garcia at October 15, 2003 at 03:55 PMFunny that a dead hippy muso talks about futures. The Grateful Dead were a great band though.
Posted by: Jake D at October 15, 2003 at 04:58 PMas long as you were stone deaf and totally wasted.
Posted by: Habib Bickford at October 15, 2003 at 05:04 PMI guess that means Jerry Garcia performs as well now as he ever did.
Posted by: ilibcc at October 15, 2003 at 05:09 PMTests can be interesting. The doc once asked me to take a urine test but I couldn't find any literature to bone up on it....
Posted by: Bushy at October 15, 2003 at 06:36 PMwhy is it that when i google for tim b. i get blah blah blah IMPERSONATOR?- tim? you better not be M. Kingston havin a lend of us all here!
Posted by: roscoe p coltrane at October 15, 2003 at 08:56 PMIf this is the kind of response he gets when a female posts something, perhaps Tim should consider a co-blogger.
