MISSING THE MARK

Notice anything different at Steyn Online? The National Post masthead has been removed. Those rumours of a month ago might have come true.

Jay Currie has more on the Nat Post’s columnist troubles - including the shocking news that while other papers are dropping Maureen Dowd, the Nat Post is running her in place of Andrew Coyne.

Yeah, and I saw the masthead for The Nation, which was a much bigger surprise, until I clicked the clicker and found out that it was some paper in Thailand.

His very amusing FAQ page seems to confirm this:

Q: When can I read Mark’s columns each week?

A: Mark can be read on Monday in The New York Sun, Tuesday in The Jerusalem Post, Thursday (for Londoners) or Friday (for the rest of the United Kingdom) in The Spectator, Saturday in The Daily Telegraph, Sunday in The Chicago Sun-Times and The Richmond Times-Dispatch, and most Sundays in The Sunday Telegraph. These columns are linked here as they’re posted at their respective websites. The Spectator does not post Mark’s film column online but we do so here on the Wednesday following print publication. Mark’s monthly theatre column for The New Criterion is usually posted here on the last Thursday of each month – ie, the January column appears at the end of January.

Just checked the NatPost site and Christy is no longer listed (0030 22 JUN 03 ADT). Now I shall have to stop by the G&M site to check on Christy, and log a note respecting M. Salutin's sanity. Which brings up a question: were he and P Adams twin, separated at birth, and raised on different continents, to demonstrate nuture over nature, and failed?

Cheers
