MASSIVE FAME!
Now I've got my own personal Tim Blair tribute blog!
UPDATE. And even as my enemies completely destroy me, they themselves now have a tribute to their tribute.
Posted by Tim Blair at July 23, 2003 06:25 PMShould be interesting. Nothing I've read there has yet changed my opinion. However I'm sure it'll be a handy source for perspective.
Posted by: Ken at July 23, 2003 at 06:41 PMYou've made it Tim, Andrew Sullivan has a similar fan/storker page. Did you notice the little shirt lifter hasn't got comment GUTLESS. Its probably Bon Scott or Craig.
Posted by: Gary at July 23, 2003 at 06:43 PMHello, Storker! Are you aware of Sullyman's shirt-lifting proclivities?
He only does it for humanitarian reasons.
Posted by: Buddy Ebsen at July 23, 2003 at 06:48 PMI wonder how long it will take them to realise that by deliberately setting up a trash-Tim website and PAYING FOR IT!!! they are paying him a huge compliment.
Another point - Unlike "Timbo" they don't even give you an email address to send your "opinion" into. Sort of sums it up eh?
Posted by: Rob at July 23, 2003 at 06:51 PMHow much are he/she/it/they paying for a Blogger site? Perhaps you could research it.
Posted by: Buddy Ebsen at July 23, 2003 at 06:54 PMHey Web Stalker,
try spending your time more fruitfully - learn to masturbate.
What is storker? It is bird with large beak filled with fishes. Lives in tranquil estuary of glassy, still water reflecting pale gold dying light of winter's afternoon. Awkward but graceful, it lifts off in slow action, wings outstretched, flies with no seeming effort. Then it's gone leaving nothing but gentle ripples on the water. Beautiful, beautiful storker.
Posted by: ilibcc at July 23, 2003 at 06:59 PMBlogger sites are free. You could save yourself the trouble of annoying someone enough to get them to stalk you, and stalk yourself. If you are schizophrenic, you wouldn't even know you were doing it; who says mental illness has no upside?
Posted by: paul bickford at July 23, 2003 at 07:15 PMTypical baseless, gutless, reactionary lefty shit. Devoid of any originality. A bit like the SMH & ABC when one thinks about it!!
And, where are the comments?
Posted by: tc at July 23, 2003 at 07:25 PMWell, bugger me. Tim B. Liar has its own tribute site. Is there no end to this craziness?
Posted by: Tim B. Liar Lies at July 23, 2003 at 07:33 PMTim Blair - a wingnut? Isn't that racial vilification as wingnut is a derogatory name for asians.
Posted by: I'd like to bend over Kerry Nettle at July 23, 2003 at 07:34 PMThe guy who wrote that page is really childish. Perhaps he could have *calmly" debated some selected statements Tim made, but it looks like the only tactic he uses is to scream every time Tim says something.. let me illustrate:
-------------------------------------
TIM: Or we could just sit around like idiots and argue about African uranium
IMITATOR: Because, of course, truth is an entirely unimportant value.
What are we supposed to be fighting for again?
-------------------------------------
The imitator sure is intellectually lazy.. he just has to say something in response to any opposing viewpoint, even though its totally irrelevant !
No comments box, no guts.
Must be a lefty journalist.
Posted by: Indole Ring at July 23, 2003 at 07:42 PMI believe a wingnut is a person with extraordinarily large ears, such as Prince (Austin Atlantic with the front doors open) Charles.
Posted by: paul bickford at July 23, 2003 at 07:49 PMQuestion:
How many lame, anonymous, non-contactable ...watch bloggers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Posted by: Tokyo Taro at July 23, 2003 at 07:54 PM"Austin Atlantic"? I guess you weren't around when Billy McMahon was king.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Posted by: Buddy Ebsen at July 23, 2003 at 07:56 PMHmmmm "Antipoedean Wingnut" & "Right Wing Death Beast"
Is having both on your tee shirt a bit much?
Posted by: James Hamilton at July 23, 2003 at 08:23 PMIt's only a bit much when you're down at the local supermarket and people whisper to each other behind their hands about your nonexistent spelling skills.
Posted by: Buddy Ebsen at July 23, 2003 at 08:28 PMTim, you really got sacked from working at the ABC last year?
Posted by: Tom at July 23, 2003 at 08:31 PMGee if his anti Tim blog was actually entertaining it might be a good thing for Tim but what I read just sounds like a whole lot of whining. He is not even good at being a useful idiot.
Posted by: Scottie at July 23, 2003 at 08:35 PMSacked by the ABC? Nope. I was a co-presenter of a Radio National show that ran for one hour on Friday nights. We signed a contract for three months. After the three months were up, the contract wasn't renewed.
Reviews were mixed, to say the least. Some people loved it. Some people despised it. I've since appeared on several ABC radio shows, incidentally, and turned down invitations to others.
Oh, and the show wasn't run last year; it was in 2001.
Posted by: tim at July 23, 2003 at 09:07 PMIt would be nice if you got a stalker who was 1) mildly amusing and/or 2) had some forensic skills and/or 3) didn't display some sexuality-related issues (copious derogatory references to shirt lifting and circle jerking)while calling someone else a bigot.
Posted by: Craig Ranapia at July 23, 2003 at 10:24 PMTribute site? or a "fuck, every time I try and have a go at him I end up being made to look like a complete tool, so I'll just make up my own page where no-one can answer back and I'll look rooolly smart again" site.
Is this what that lot have been reduced to? Its a little sad really if this is the only way they can think of to get at you...maybe you should take it easy on them for a while...
Oh for christ sake, WHAT am I saying??? it's not sad, its utterly HILARIOUS, and as for taking it easy, going by the way half of them only seem to be able to attack the man instead of the argument, he would have to completely stop writing before they got any traction on him.
Posted by: Richard at July 23, 2003 at 11:25 PMOn a different tangent....I'm impressed a couple of guys in here actually know what an Austin Atlantic is.
But the Healey is better... and doesn't look like a wingnut ;-)
Posted by: wilbur at July 24, 2003 at 02:24 AMI'm jealous quite frankly. Where's my stalker?
Scott you told me you didn't like being stalked remember?
Posted by: Caz at July 24, 2003 at 09:49 AMIt's me - guilty, your honour. After so much time slagging off Tim in his own blog, and continuing to be published (hey, it's the only place I can get published), I've jumped in and started my own blog. However, as I know that whatever I write is right (not Right), I won't allow dissent and include a comments page.
Maybe I just got pissed off with impersonators making me sound like a fuckwit.
Posted by: Bon Scott at July 24, 2003 at 12:40 PMPiss off Scott - it's me. I got pissed off because no one at this site gives due recognition to my all-knowing self-righteousness.
Posted by: craig at July 24, 2003 at 12:42 PMUmmmm, I didn't realise that it was the impersonators who were making you sound like a fuckwit? I thought that was just you. Wow, all this time, you have really been an impersonator? So does that mean that we can't find the real Bon Scott and that therefore means that the real Bon Scott doesn't actually exist!! Just like Saddam!! and Osama!! and the WMD's!!! It all fits in to place now.
Posted by: Todd at July 24, 2003 at 01:40 PMI didn't want to be stalked by YOU Caz as you are clearly excessively strange even for a stalker.
Posted by: Scott Wickstein at July 25, 2003 at 04:23 AMWhen's the fanzine coming out? I take my hat off to you Tim, you really know how to annoy some people. I have to get my own blog, I'm limited to only annoying those around me...
Posted by: Jake Death Beast (RW) at July 25, 2003 at 01:04 PMI hate you, Tim Blair.
You are everything I want to be, you Ozzie bastard. So far I've only had three bloggers launch personal attacks on me. But none--not one--has set up an entire blog just to refute everything I say.
You stuck up bastard. Who do you think you are?!?!?
Posted by: Dean Esmay at July 26, 2003 at 02:21 AM[sniff] It's beautiful!
Now I know I'm important!
Posted by: Dean Esmay at July 26, 2003 at 03:29 PMI think B.Liar is quite funny. Good one Bon. As for him not having comments, neither did Blair for the longest time. So what?
