There's strong archeological evidence of a capitalist middle class as far back as the 1250's (I was part of the dig team). If you really want to see some corporate fascism, look at the example of King Leopold II and the Congo. The real fascists are the Ba'ath parties of Syria and Iraq, the Mullahs of Iran, the rulers of the Sudan, and a few other sundry nasties around the world. I wish Andrea hadn't banned Justin Eagle, since I was beginning to like the show. I caught him over on Dorkafork, and then he showed up on this blog. Comment threads canceled at both blogs.
That's the problem with American entertainment executives like Andrea Harris. We here in the States rarely have the opportunity to get to know a new offering, before the ruthless bigwigs in their shiny glass towers, like Andrea, cancel them, and sitcoms like Justin Eagle never get the chance to develop an audience.
