BILLY ISN'T A HERO

Looks like Billy Connolly got his wish:

Ken Bigley, a British hostage kidnapped in Baghdad last month, is dead, Sky News television reported today, quoting sources in Prime Minister Tony Blair's office.

A militant group led by al-Qaeda ally Abu Musab al-Zarqawi killed Bigley in Iraq, Abu Dhabi Television said earlier, quoting "informed" sources in Iraq.

In other outrage news, we now know who’s behind those Pat Tillman posters:

It's an artist who is also an assistant professor with a Chicano Studies project at ASU.

John Leanos says he doesn't think the message is "anti-war."  He says he respects Tillman, and he simply wanted the posters to be thought-provoking about the tragic decisions made in Afghanistan.

Thought provoking, "Professor"? Yeah, you provoked a few thoughts alright. None of them too flattering toward you or your opinions however. Guess you'll have to go back to the old drawing board and try again, idiot....

Great. A professor who can't spell. Who uses photographs in "artwork" without permission. Who only wants to provoke thought if it's in the leftwing-approved direction.

I say we find a photo of this professor and create a "thought-provoking" poster of our own.

Don't use a photo, Kimberly. Dip the slob in molten bronze, and put up a statue to provoke thought about pompous leftoid pricks.

Anyone else catch that the "professor" was upset about Afghanistan. The noble hero of the masses apparently preferred the Taliban.

If you'd like to leave a comment for the creep, here's his email: John.Leanos@asu.edu

Prof., you are so full of it your eyes are brown.

Apparently, Billy is now calling his audience and the press a bunch of liars because he never said those things and anyway, he was only pointing out hypocrisy and of course, he's deeply saddened, thoughts with Bigley's family, presumbably including Bigley's Thai wife that he "allegedly" slagged off for laughs, blah, blah, blah.

Between that and this ASU professor, I'm at a loss to defend artists, actors, or academics. Let al Qaeda have 'em.

That son of a bitch Leanos looks like a Mexican gang just crossed our border illegally.

Billy Connolly and John Leanos can now take their place in that long line of people who simply have no shred of human decency.

What is it about Chicano Studies and people hating on Pat Tillman? Wasn't Rene Gonzalez in Chicano Studies as well? (At least, I certainly remember him yammering about his Puerto Rican heritage; Rene, my husband's got family in PR, and we've been there quite a bit. I wouldn't talk as if it were the Last Best Hope For Cultural Studies if I were you). I mean, I'd like to think that people who enter these fields are actual serious scholars, but they sure as hell aren't acting like it.

Here's Leanos' [snide & ugly] picture, just begging to have a poster made of it...

Obscenities like this are yet another reason to miss the old days when you could challenge such an individual to a duel over honor. Wish they'd bring it back...
