$10,000 BAIL! THAT'LL LEARN 'EM

Bin Laden dining companion Jack Roche this week copped a sentence that could free him within three years. And here's how we treat our latest terror suspect:

A former Qantas baggage handler at Sydney Airport charged with a terrorist offence has been granted bail even though police allege that he helped another suspected terrorist, Saleh Jamal, to jump bail and flee to Lebanon.

Great. The guy gets bail. Are we considering any broader issues here? Meanwhile, Michael Ledeen concludes in a wide-ranging piece on the extent of global terror: "This is a time for war."

UPDATE. Greg Hywood writes:

In Australia we still seem strangely disengaged from the terrorism threat. It remains something of a political plaything.

Poor Greg Hywood seems to be strangely disengaged from reality. Gated communities in Australia? Giving Honest John the legal authority to terrorise us until we "win" the "war on terror"? Gezus.

That Hywood article is definitely a bit disjointed. It's like three articles morphed into one.

I wondered if this was the baggage handler who was reported by a woman, who also worked at the airport, for his inappropriate response to the September 11 events and other statements on terrorism. The woman, a supervisor I think, was hauled over the coals for being quick to brand the person as suspicious, and report her suspicions.

Ya, `plaything', jolly good fun when one of the murdering islamo-fascistys kills with a bomb or slices a head off with a blunt pocket knife. And, Heywood, Howard isn't treating terrorism as a joke, some usless acctivist buggers pretending to be judges are, and also Khazal's lawyer: ` a radical whose interest is merely ideological' fuck it is, Khazal needs to be stood up against a wall and shot, alongside Roche, Hicks and Jamal..

I wondered when that filthy, sleazebag lawyer, Chris Murphy was gonna crawl out from under his rock, given all the attention Hicks' and Habib's lawyers were getting. I could just imagine his pathetic desperation to get in on the action.

I wouldn't half mind seeing pretty much every bastard islamic fascist apologist lawyer throttled with a length of piano wire.
Murphy, Houda, Hopper, Kenny not to mention Vidalis and that grey haired prat (reffo's mate).
Maybe fix some of those civil libertarians while the going's good, such as the ALP's Cameron Murphy. Cocksucker.
The world would be a better place if these shits croaked.
