MELBOURNE BOUND
No posts from me until later today. I'm driving to Melbourne at a socially-responsible speed, in a tiny, photosynthesis-powered eco-trolley. By nightfall I expect to be in Liverpool -- then, tomorrow, it's an all-day haul to Yass!
Posted by Tim Blair at March 4, 2004 08:59 AMLets hope its not one of those trolleys with the friggin broken wheels...
Posted by: Paul Dub at March 4, 2004 at 11:59 AMDamn. Wish I had a car like Tim's socially-responsible, tiny, photosynthesis-powered eco-trolley.
Posted by: Bruce Rheinstein at March 4, 2004 at 01:32 PMTim, get one of these. http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/gallery.aspx?modelid=10913&trimid=-1&src=VIP&tab=3
I just got the Red 2004 F150 Lariat... its better than my son's Yukon. (At least I think so!) I've had it since the first of December and I still catch myself driving down the street with that "new car grin" on my face.
Don't bother poncing about in a limp-dick Commodore; one lousy hippy and bicycle wrapped around the prop-shaft and you're immobilised in some shithole like Albury. What you want is one of these; guaranteed to keep going, even if you're drunkenly plowing through the field of the Tour Downunder.
