FOUND!
Well, well, well. The old flee-to-the-US-and-impersonate-a-geologist trick.
Clever, Kingston. But not clever enough!
Posted by Tim Blair at March 1, 2004 11:11 PMShe got some really good plastic surgery, too. Not nearly as hagged out as usual.
Posted by: JorgXMcKie at March 1, 2004 at 11:13 PMPerhaps *our* Margo is *this* Margo's Evil Twin? O.O
Posted by: Small Pink Mouse at March 2, 2004 at 01:24 AMThere's a story in Anne Applebaum's "Gulag" about an escaped Soviet prisoner who roams around Sibera impersonating a geologist, giving lectures. No joke.
Posted by: Gregory at March 2, 2004 at 03:10 AMWrong Margo. Actually, it's just that she's been in a serious funk since she didn't get that knighthood for her other job.
Ah yes, the old flee-to-the-US-and-impersonate-a- geologist trick! That's the second time I've fallen for that this week.
Agent 86
I heard from margo yesterday after fisking Burchills new article on Webdiary.
Margo's been off for a couple of months writing her new book... on "australia's democracy."
Knowing her, she'll write 600 pages about how Howard trusted the US intel in Iraq therefore we don't have democracy. And it's all about the anti-gravity machines.
A useful field of endevour for someone who can produce their own geological samples.
Posted by: Habib at March 2, 2004 at 10:43 AMIf you read down the bio of the "new" Margo, she says her favorite book is "The Volcano Lover" by Susan Sontag.
Susan Sontag? Maybe New margo and Old margo really are one in the same!
Posted by: mike at March 2, 2004 at 11:03 AMI see she has shaved her beard off. Didn't help though
Posted by: Johnny Wishbone at March 2, 2004 at 11:04 AMShe should have kept the beard. It softened her features.
Posted by: Andrea Harris at March 2, 2004 at 11:19 AMAnd there I was thinking all the rocks were in her head...
