Tim, the time has come to set up the "Mar Fuckwit of the Year" award. This would be a tough call - make it the "Mar Fuckwit of the Month" award.

I was extremely embarrassed when Mr Marr said that the verb to "albrecht" had entered the vocabulary a "couple of years ago."

To my eternal shame I had never heard of the word used as a verb, but then again I don't hang around the more limp wristed of the Sydney wine bars, so my ascent from everlasting ignorance is sorely impeded.

Thank you for the illumination, Mr Marr.

Considering the smug amusement in using the expression "to albrecht" do you think Marr came up with it all by himself?

Or considering his association with the Phat Philcher do you think he's just using it without attribution?

Sounds like a schoolie trying to be clever and original Marr's linguistic pyro-technics are non-existent: his M.W. reflects it,un-mellifulous , circuitous, long-winded waffling bombast about nothing. So too, Fatty Admas, Ross Gittins and etc etc.

Marr, Manne, Moore, Kingston, Carlton, Adams... Akerman, Bolt, McGuinness, Albrechtson, Devine, Sheehan, Hendersen... round and round it goes where it stops - who gives a toss?

My thoughts (of it being a bad word) precisely. You'd have a better chance with Schwarzengeggernomics.
