TWO TERMS INCREASINGLY CERTAIN

ABC News’ The Note thinks this is noteworthy:

No rest for the folks over at BushRecall.org this holiday season. No, siree, they are staying mighty busy. Today they will release a 60 second flash animation titled "Lord of the Right Wing" to what they say are the more than 50,000 members of the BushRecall.org list-serv. Other BushRecall.org backers and allied groups will be receiving the bit of flash as well.

ABC (that’s the American ABC) provides a link, so you can see for yourself the single suckiest, most voter-alienating, no-talent animation ever to hit the Net.

(Pathetic animation hunted down and viewed more than once by brave correspondent J. F. Beck)

Any Bets it'll get an Oscar? Hey, if Bowling for Columbine got one as a Documentary, it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

Just viewed the animation. Lame cartoon. Now if ABC is interested in being "fair and balanced" (yeah, right), they'd link to "Allah In The House" at Allahpundit.com (which I can't do because I don't know how). Allah has a photoshop rif on Howard Dean so funny my stomach hurt from laughter. Scrowl for it. Unlike the bushrecall carton above it's worth your time.

Oh my god was that stupid. "My precious, I love ya like Texas?" This deserves to be mocked far and wide across the land.

(Yes, I know: scroll is spelled with a double ll and no w. Must. Preview. Posts.)

So unintentionally unfunny that it actually ends up being funny. Sort of like "Ishtar."

Posted by: iowahawk at December 21, 2003 at 12:19 AM

Mark, I think you just coined a word to describe a Howard Dean facial expression. "A scrowling Howard Dean took the stage today..."

Thought it was so bad it was good. I'd like to nominate it for the "Plan Nine From Outerspace" award.

It's so bad, it's funny.

Andrea: That one was so stupid i actually laughed. I think this people might actually think they're funny! Poor fools.

Posted by: madne0 at December 21, 2003 at 02:35 AM

Actually, the stupidest thing of all is the name of the organization, "RecallBush". There is no provision for recall of a President, so they start with a fundamental "error" (to use a kind word) about US civics and go downhill from there.

I don't know who to hit first: You, Tim, for posting that link, or J.F. Beck for giving it to you.

Okay. Find me the creator, and I'll give him a left hook for the right wing.

Gawd, that was awful.

The animation wasn't that bad, but the script was godawful and cringe-inducing. And tha narrator was a bit hammy. Grade: F+

Ew - looks like they forgot to clean the desk after Clinton left.

The Bush cartoon is crap. Flash animation toons have been all downhill since All Your Base Are Belong to Us

This was stupider than the great Arnold/Arianna Special Interest Race movie, Tim...

Posted by: Aaron at December 21, 2003 at 01:34 PM

That was so stupid I had to laugh. What kind of a moron puts something like that together, and then puts it on the Internet where millions of people see it. I think I'm seeing a Bush win for the next election.

Posted by: James at December 21, 2003 at 04:38 PM

James - I second the motion. I mean, who really thinks that sort of crap will affect one single vote? Who thinks that anyone who is "undecided" for the presidential election will view that seriously untalented piece of animation and say, "Oh, wow, people with the ring in that big film trilogy were evil, so George Bush must be too."

People who think that The Lord of The Rings is racist are dumb enough. Those who compare Gollum to Bush are even lower down on the IQ scale. Anyone dumb enough to be converted by this won't be able to find their way to the voting booth on election day.

Actually, the most despicable political advertisment is over at Dennis Kucinich's presidential campaign website. It's a Flash animation with the pictures and names of the fallen soldiers in Iraq morphing into a screed about the real reason we went to war was so Bush and his buddies could get rich...

Posted by: yak at December 23, 2003 at 01:28 AM

I will agree that the advertisement on Dennis Kucinich's web site was much more despicable. It looks like it has since been removed. At least I can't find it there anymore (I should have saved a copy to show anyone planning on voting for that nutjob). However, as far as pure moronic splendor goes, this might very well trump that.
