MOORE FOR WAR

Michael Moore condemns Saddam Hussein for invading and menacing surrounding nations, possessing weapons of mass destruction, gassing Iranians and Kurds, and stockpiling deadly chemicals. Saddam, he writes, was “out of control”.

Moore's conclusion, therefore, doesn't make sense:

These bastards sent us to war on a lie.

They did? Hey, if Saddam was all the things Moore says he was, the invasion seems entirely justified. Who knew Mike was such a hawk?

What a dildo.

We are going to be seeing a lot of this. Scumbags like Moore trying to have it both ways. "Sure he was a butcher and I am glad he was caught but........" you know the rest. I guess deep down it must prick them a bit to think that if they had their way the old butcher would still be doing what he did best. Not cowering in some hole. I hope that people like him just accept the fact that there is no way to make this look bad for Bush - it is turkey mark II.

In the spirit of celebration - Tim how about updating that poll bar so we can vote on an important issue of the day. Just a thought, since we dont have any semi-automatics here in Oz to fire anymore :(

In fairness to some of the twits I will note my suspicion that it's not that they object to the deed, but rather that they weren't the ones in power when it happened.

On the poll ... there might be an option for the collected great literary works of Michael Moore.

And for the future: Christmas is coming soon. We wouldn't want our new guest to be left out. Though he may (may!) have been a bad boy in the past, he's meek as a lamb now. So: what presents should be in his Christmas stocking?

So the "Coalition" claim to have "caught" "Saddam". Just like their previous claims to have "liberated" Baghdad...........{whiny sneer continues for 3 pages}

So today Mickey Moore hates Americans and their evil foreign policy because they helped Saddam some twenty years ago. And here I was thinking Saddam hated us because the crusaders fought the muslims over a thousand years ago.

Thanks Michael Mouse, you made everything very clear now: No matter what we westerners do the left will accuse us of muslim hatred and terrorism. Funny how that works.

PK, you took the words right out of my mouth.

PK, that was an unfair slam on dildoes. Please apologize immediately.

Most Americans can't get a free dental exam? Last time I checked, every state in the country has benefits of some sort for people who can't afford medical and dental care. Besides, why on Earth *should* their dental exams be free? Is Moore saying he thinks dentists and their assistants don't deserve to be paid for their work?

I've rarely seen Michael Moore and have never seen any of his work. From what I 'hear', I'm just not motivated to put out the effort. How fortunate I am that with never having expressed an interest in MM's views or politics I will be able to 'moveon' knowing he now supports the Bush agenda. Babs and the American Way must be next....

BTW, I am employed with a most excellent benefits package, including dental. I have always had to pay for dental exams myself.... wait, maybe I had about $10 US in coverage.

Posted by: billy at December 16, 2003 at 02:50 AM

Emily: No, he thinks they deserve to be paid as much as anyone else--just with tax dollars. After those dollars pass through several filters of purifying government agencies, of course. No filthy profit motive will remain.

Strange how Moore's own lies don't seem to bother him.

I got this from pinko friends of mine and expanded on Tim's point thusly (calibrated to especially piss them off):

Boy, I was agreeing with this all the way-- we had a policy of sposoring ugly client states back in the day and it's time to fix our mistakes, the guy had chemical and biological weapons, he invaded and gassed and murdered by the thousands, you got it exactly right-- then all of a sudden I hit what must be a paragraph from a piece by someone else who says "we went to war on a lie" and "Saddam was never a threat" and apparently doesn't believe any of the stuff the first guy said. Do you have the correct ending of the Moore piece anywhere?

I blame it all on the pants.

You know, the extremely low slung pants that let passers by admire your bikini wax?

The popularity of ass cleavage has given rise to a movement. You know how it goes..."Oh sure, A is a real B and he was doing C, no question....but.."

Everybody wants to show a little butt nowadays. Unfortunately, for people like Mikey it's always a big butt--and the way he eats, it's getting bigger all the time.

I think MM would not let any contradictions make him pause. I hate cheap psychiatry but MM seems like someone that just has to have attention any way he can and hopes to get invited to the 'big' parties since he seems second tier. It's good he has some listening or he would only get louder.

Have just read some of Moore's last rambling rave. Maybe I'm tired but sheesh he sounds just like poor Phlatulent Phil only dopier - always assuming such a state is possible.
