ARNIE PASSES CRUCIAL DOZEN MILESTONE

The Arnie Count has increased:

As the number of women claiming they were groped by Arnold Schwarzenegger grew to 15 today, the actor headed for a campaign march in Sacramento, while Governor Gray Davis signed a law making California the largest state to require employer-paid health care.

Any guesses what the number might be by election day?

6000, as a conservative estimate.

Watch the number of newly unemployed in California shoot up, the number of businesses divest.Unlike nasty Arnie, Davis is just your regular swindling, leftoid Democrat who happens to do far nastier things than Arnie.

Ah, but then there was the Clintonallry regime, and hard obstinant truths just keep coming out about his and the Dems. time in the White-house.Never mind, this won't disturb leftoid journos in Australia either, in their pursuit of Arnie. That they will, like Gulf War II, look like the fith raters, or is that rat-arsed , they are, once again, should really make them take stock, are they not really better off getting a job mucking out piggeries before an editor or a t.v. producer muscles up the nerve to start sacking such liars.

"Much ado about nothing", someone much better at weilding a pen than me once said.

To paraphrase from the Simpsons:

Audience member - "I don't know Homer Simpson, or ever met Homer Simpson but....(uncontrolable crying)"

Sally Jessy character - "It's all right, your tears say more than real evidence ever could"

Yep.

Trial by LA Times. I like this quote: 'Who's the guy with the LA Times? Find him and beat him up, would you?'

Posted by: ilibcc at October 6, 2003 at 02:09 PM

That link should be here, I hope.

You'd have to be a Gray Davis campaign operative to know that answer.

"You'd have to be a Gray Davis campaign operative to know that answer."

Or be an LA Times reporter. Oh, I'm sorry, I'm being redundent.

Posted by: Dave Crawford at October 6, 2003 at 03:35 PM

The LA Times has really dug deep to find these women. Most of the groping etc is alleged to have occurred in the 1970s and '80s; ie when Arnie was in his 20s or 30s, still a big bodybuilding star, probably still on the gear and horny as hell, still a young man with normal desires etc.

Not content with that they've gone back and dug up a supposedly Nazi father; what's next, a grandfather who supported Kaiser Bill and beat up Jews? As an Austrian, a bodybuilder, a heterosexual and a successful businessman, they are stereotyping him with all the cliches.

Nevertheless, Arnie's gonna win. A million gym rats are cheering him on. Then we'll see what happens to the LA Times.

And now Davis wants a criminal investigation into the allegations of sexual misconduct. How desperate can this guy get? He was just standing beside Clinton a week or two ago, talking about him as if he is some heroic figure, but he wants an investigation into Arnold's past. Liberals are the people who think a politician's sexual affairs are private...right?

Posted by: Ambam82 at October 6, 2003 at 04:12 PM

in other news, arnies polls are rising

Posted by: ben at October 6, 2003 at 04:48 PM

while Governor Gray Davis signed a law making California the largest state to require employer-paid health care.

They're going to have to build a fence around California to keep the remaining normal people in after Gray Davis is done frantically signing every piece of paper he can get his hands on before Oct. 7

Posted by: mo skrilla at October 6, 2003 at 05:08 PM

So when do we get to the episode where Arnie rips off his shirt and runs around killing aliens and commies and stuff? They're the best bit in any Arnie moofie.

Posted by: Jake D at October 6, 2003 at 05:16 PM

For a while, it seemed Arnold wasn't doing too well poll-wise as he was criticised for being policy-poor, but once the attacks on him for alleged links to national socialism and sexual misconduct occurred, his poll numbers improved.

Is this correct?

Posted by: Andjam at October 6, 2003 at 05:21 PM

Just a note on the genius of journalist types:
Since California is, by far, the most populous state, how could it not be the largest state to require employer paid health care? Duh! Or did Davis sign a law redundantly making it the largest state, period? I'm not the greatest writer in the world but I don't make a living at it. I expect better from the pros.

Posted by: KenG at October 6, 2003 at 05:28 PM

Ken, without in any way wishing to support the 'journos' in question, I think they were stating that previously, state-wide legislation had been limited to the much smaller states. It only comprised a couple of the small geographically and population-wise states and that California was the largest of the States that require this socialist legislation.

James Thurber had a ``10 ways to approach women'' cartoon and I think the last, ``Direct Action,'' was censored. Apparently it was too much for the New Yorker.

Posted by: Ron Hardin at October 6, 2003 at 08:18 PM

Has anyone thought to timeline these women?

Troy get groped by Arnie once.

Troy buffed. Troy not lift shirts, but. Troy not happy.

Ohh, he's putting uncle Ted to shame. Maybe he should take a line from uncle Ted and say he was drunk during the 70's and 80's. I know I was.

Posted by: LB at October 6, 2003 at 10:55 PM

Any guesses what the number might be by election day?

Alleged Arnie gropes or newly unemployed low-wage workers by this time next year?

50,000 and...hmmm...50,000.

Posted by: Tongue Boy at October 6, 2003 at 11:46 PM

I bet that once Arnie becomes gov everything will be really good.

Posted by: duni at October 7, 2003 at 12:10 AM

Is it clear enough yet that the LA Times is a monopoly paper? Well, not technically, they have some competition - but I'd bet large that it's less than 5% of the LAT take. A family operation, and Democrat to it's black, flabby heart.

I have to wonder if Gray actualy got down and fellated the unions yet...

Posted by: mojo at October 7, 2003 at 02:23 AM

The LA Times is owned by the Tribune company. The Trib owns a lot of news papers, radio and TV stations. Their policy is as long as they are making money, they get left alone. And they own the Chicago Cubs too.

Posted by: Homer Robinson at October 7, 2003 at 07:09 AM

Clearly Arnie fails the character test and should he attain high office must immediately be impeached.

Posted by: Miranda Divide at October 7, 2003 at 08:22 AM

Andjam, to answer your question, no it's not correct Arnold was doing poorly in the polls and then his numbers went up after the allegations hit the papers. The whole reason the stories hit the paper is because AS was doing so well in the poll. Davis's people saw the recall was going to happen and AS had at least a 10 point lead on Cruz Bustamonte. If AS had not been a threat, there would have been no reason to publish the stories. AS's numbers have improved slightly after the allegations were published.

Mojo, Gray Davis has been doing that and more to the unions since he was Chief of Staff for Jerry Brown. In the most recent election the union for the California Prison Guards bribed him with, I think, $250,000 to increase their pay (in a time of severe budget shortfall). He's not even subtle.

I too was groped by Arnie. But I was suffering from repressed memory, until election time.

Are you SURE you weren't groped as well?

Posted by: Cruddrick at October 7, 2003 at 01:50 PM

Troy get headjob from Arnie. Troy now happy. Troy no killjoy.

Posted by: Freddyboy at October 7, 2003 at 02:38 PM

That's pronounced "plo chop" Freddyboy.

Posted by: Troy Wilson of West Coast Eagles fame at October 7, 2003 at 04:15 PM

To all of you non-Californians who don't like Arnold, let me just say this:

If you don't vote there, shut the hell up.
Find one of your own citizens to hate.

Posted by: Joe at October 7, 2003 at 10:56 PM

Joe,

You post a comment on a weblog on another continent, on the opposite side of the globe from California, in defence of a guy whose face is on movie theatres and TV screens all around the world, to say, in effect, "If you don't live in California, you've got no right to comment on our internal affairs!"?

If they aren't voting against him in California elections, then why should it concern you what people say about Arnie? Ever heard of something called the First Amendment? Even "sticks and stones ..."?
