David Letterman is soon to become a father:

After the cheers and applause from the studio audience subsided, Letterman joked about the upside of becoming a father for the first time at his age: "By the time the child has trouble in life, you know, I'll be dead. I'll be long gone. By the time the kid's out stealing cars, you know, Dad will be dead a few years."

Not necessarily.

If the child is a boy, then there's only one name possible. “Warren”.

Frequent Letterman guest Tony Randall had his first child at age 77 (his wife's about 40 years younger than he is), so Dave may still have to deal with his kid's college years before passing on...
