OLD JUNK

Everybody is in medically-induced comas while they recover from Fourth of July fireworks accidents, and so am I. Here’s a few old forgotten columns while I think up something new.

it occures to me that Mike Moore might have seen a nitch in Australia Canada England - so many anti-americans with full pockets, you know an enterprising American Capitalist might make a buck or two if he sells them what they want. Bet Columbine is a smash hit in Australia -. $8 a pop
you bunch of roobs. you got took. And Mike Moore has a concealed weapons carrying card. ha ha

Tim,

Any chance of you putting a whole lot of your Australian columns online: a Blair Archive so we can revisit some of the finest and most humourous writing to grace the Op Ed pages (sadly dominated by Chemical Margo, appalling Adele and the Adams chappy. Or maybe do a Steyn and have a collection of your finest.

Whatever happened to Imre?

The monkey rallies bit is brilliant.

I met Imre briefly at Newcastle Uni. early this year... we didn't speak for very long, because he was packing up his office. Seems he got a job on the Australian, he's one of the people who write the editorials. You can tell, too - the humour content in the usually humourous editorials has risen as of late.
A pity, but - I used to enjoy reading Imres rants in the S.M.H. He's a big win for the Murdoch News corp...

Why can't we get Tim to persuade Imre to get himself a blog? Do you remember the belly laughs from reading one of Imre's columns in the Hilmer followed by reading one of Tim's in the OZ. Those were the days. The sort of laughs you get from Margo and Adele are more the sympathetic, pitying laughs and they ain't as good.
