Which terrible racist thinks associating with Arabs brings “nothing but shame and heartache"? Let’s find out:

Iraq is not the only place where pan-Arabism is coming under critical scrutiny. Libya is already distancing itself from the so-called Arab world. According to our sources, Colonel Muammar Kaddafi, the Libyan "Supreme Guide," plans to announce his withdrawal from the Arab League sometime in August. The Libyan "Popular Assembly" has just passed a bill to drop the word "Arab" from the country's official name. From next September Libya will describe itself as "The African Republic of Libya". "Associating with Arabs has brought us nothing but shame and heartache," says Seyf al-Islam Kaddafi, the colonel's son and possible successor.

My, my. The UN will not be impressed.

Meanwhile Israel has been trying in vain to join the same UN regional group the Arab countries are in.

I'm sure that the U.S. will somehow be blamed for Libya "abandoning its heritage" or some such crap.

Debka website of the Israeli intelligence specialists are saying that Saddam is living in Lybia.
Is this a smoke screen?

The U.S. would be blamed no matter what. I think that's a given that we should make up some term to describe.

Is there already a word that says, "even though the US is in no way involved, thay are to blame anyway"

Oh yeah. "Democrat"

I'm trying to decide if this is yet another megalomaniacal move by a narcisstic dictator or.... a ..... rather.... um, understandable decision.

Gotta coin?

Well we know that this could not possibly be racism because a) There aren't enough white male taxpayers in the story, b) They aren't bagging Israel, c) John Howard or George Bush aren't involved (YET!! Though give the SMH time and they will find a way to drag them in) and d) Ghadaffi is just a bubbly old socialist despot who routinely imprisons and murders his own people and besides, he now has the chairmanship of the Human Rights Committee in the Unelected Nepotism snout trough. I doubt we will hear much more about this if the SMH and its ilk have their way.

Now all that need be done, renounce pan_Islamism and the M.E. will have some prospect of rejoining civilisation.Unless its coda for: we'll pretend to renounce pan-Arabism and Pan-Islamism and , by guile, penetrate the West, over-run it and ...erk, horrible, too horrible to contemplate.

What next? Will the Crown Prince, Sword-of-Islam Kadaffy, be changing his first name?
