THREE contraceptives used by 240,000 Australians have caused scores of women to have unwanted pregnancies …

”Failed to prevent”, maybe.

"Falling pregnant?" Is this typical Aussie wording? It seems to me that pregnancy requires a little more activity than falling.

If 240,000 women are using just three contraceptives, I don't care if they'er ribbed or not, there's going to be pregnancies.

Yes, Falling Pregnant is the Oz wording.

And if you read the fine print in that story, they eventually note that this is a much LOWER failure rate than with other contraceptives.
