Er...nothing to say about Mustangs but I couldn't find your email address and thought you might want to enjoy the Mirror's columnists' page now that Mr Pilger's face has been removed. Crushing dissent!

I feel your pain. Man, I could've bought that thing on my credit card ...

Tim - a reasonable deal, but nothing to write home about; especially if it was (as I suspect) a straight 6.

Vintage American iron is easy to find and cheap if you know what you're doing. I got 1100 horses worth in my garage.

The other four letter F word.

And they feel like the back end on 'em will skitter out in a corner if you even say boo. Pass.

Iowahawk - It is actualy a V8... not the biggest engine but not bad. Unfortunately, because of enviromentalists leaded fuel is no longer available so I understand that it will soon need a valve job (don't quote me - I know nothing about cars except that this one is pretty!).

A 289! Sweeeeet.

I'd rather have This

mapchic - screw that, throw a can of Heet or Gumout gas treatment in the tank.

tim - 289, pfff. Try one of these on for size - the mighty Ford 427 SOHC. A few 'Stangs escaped Dearborn with one of these monsters under the hood...
