MARCH AGAINST MURDER

You can bet that Socialist Action or Marxism for Babies or whatever the hell they’re called aren't planning anything like this:

Hundreds of thousands of Moroccans carrying pictures of victims of a series of suicide bombings marched through Casablanca today to say "no to terrorism".

Marchers began their protest at the Farah Hotel, one of five targets in the nearly simultaneous attacks in the city on May 16 that left 31 bystanders dead and injured about a hundred others.

The Interior Ministry estimated the crowd for today's march at about 500,000.

Oppressors. This amounts to an implicit support of the Bush/Howard/Blair axis of oil. How dare they.

How dare they march against the wonderfully liberating influence of Osama et al.! Don't they know everything's about OIIIIIIIIIL?

Ok, I'm a bit more than sloshed at the moment, but props to Morocco for marching against what A.N.S.W.E.R. woudn't. It's both somewhat happy and somewhat sad that people in the West won't (can't? don't?) march against similar b.s. Ach, I need another beer.

'Tis a good idea, I think (the march, I mean).

As for the second point (which Flynn also brings up), yes, those damn pinkos. Not marching against a particular cause! They must agree with it! Damn them, the terrorist-enabling scum!

Actually, some of them are terrorist enabling scum. Note, for example, the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), sponsors of the late, unlamented Rachel Corrie.

Others are just generally scum. ANSWER is run by people pining for the Good Old Days when the Commies massacred workers in Budapest, and Not In Our Name by people nostalgic for the murderous Mao. They should go on a starvation diet to show their dedication to his legacy.

Now that they have become targets some Arabs are starting belatedly to realize just how unsavory a lot are the terrorists they used to cheer. It's about bloody time.

Hands up everyone who is suprised the Moroccans don't like getting blown up. The folks in NY didn't, the guys in Bali didn't. In fact, very few people try it more than once, just ask the pipe-bomb smoker.
