It was humor (yes I spell like the American I am) that you don't understand. You probably don't get all the references. And yes, part of the humor comes from Andrea's choice of focus. I'm sure she's aware of its relative importance.

Now now. No doubt Tom probably meant to write "That was one of the plamest blog posts I've ever read." And then in the heat of the moment he forgot the "p," and ruined his joke. No wonder he's all cranky.
