THE BLOB, PART IX
Has 2003 been the greatest year ever for mystery water beasts or what?
Posted by Tim Blair at August 10, 2003 04:00 AMWhen I read that headline I thought it was another Michael Moore sighting.
Posted by: David Gillies at August 10, 2003 at 04:12 AMMaybe it was Michael Moore, he's dissolved like the evil Senator in the "X-Men" movie...
Posted by: Jerry at August 10, 2003 at 04:58 AMRemember baby blobs and algae might seem like a good idea for a pet.
But they grow up and then you have to flush them down the toilet.
And then they end up in Jersey like all of America's waste.
Posted by: The Meatriarchy at August 10, 2003 at 11:19 AMWhen is the EPA going to enact legislation banning Michael Moore from contact with large tracts of water? He's a one man petro-chemical spill, and there is the matter of visual pollution as well- I don't want to even think about Wide Boy in Speedos.
Posted by: Habib Bickford at August 10, 2003 at 12:45 PMMichael Moore has been traveling alot. We can only pray that he is decomposing.
Posted by: wallace at August 10, 2003 at 04:33 PMOn the contrary- I think he is some form of one-celled organism that engulfs by surrounding his prey, not unlike an amoeba. If he and Phillip Adams get together and merge, no-where in the galaxy is safe.
Posted by: Habib Bickford at August 10, 2003 at 05:38 PMwell, as i live in nj maybe i'll wander down and see if it is mr. moore...
Posted by: Mr. Bingley at August 10, 2003 at 11:45 PMI really wonder if anyone's keeping serious track of this sort of thing -- is it just that the media's reporting weird water beasts, or is something weird happening that makes bizarre deep-sea critters more likely to wash ashore?
Sorry, I've been fascinated by animal behavior for some time and I didn't mean to interject a serious moment.
Posted by: John Nowak at August 11, 2003 at 01:12 AMNowak, you are BANNED for the interjection of serious.
