Another item in Sydney Morning Herald: a list of what it considers to be all the dubious pro-war stories told in the months before the war. A list of dubious anti-war stories would, of course, cause the whole Internet to explode.
Posted by Tim Blair at June 21, 2003 05:04 AM | TrackBackHere is a few lies from the Greens to get us started
"there may be hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties in Iraq"
"likely to result in between 48,000 and 260,000 deaths"
"millions of refugees and displaced people"
"famine and epidemics"
"in which 5 million residents of Baghdad face the imminent possibility of death"
"as many as 100,000 children will die"
"a veritable holocaust"
Ah, the Herald. News for 'tards who've lost their memory. Every SINGLE prediction made by the antiwar crowd (hullo, Bob Brown!) proved incorrect. Could it be that they deliberately distorted the available evidence for political gain? We demand an inquiry!
Posted by: al bruner at June 21, 2003 07:52 PMHave a look at the letters to the editor section on the smh.com.au, and you'll see that almost every single message is vehemently anti-Howard and/or anti-America.
I wonder, considering the current controversy, if the SMH will print the pre-war quotes from Kevin Rudd and Bob McMullan, who said Iraq had WMD. (see my blog for the quotes)
