Does anyone really believe gardeners, who are as canny as any about plant placement and flowering, could have mistaken this?

Hilarious, but needs only one small change to make it perfect. Make that a county map behind the elephant, not a state map. That great sea of red covering almost the entire country should catch even Mikey's attention.
