DOG OF TRUTH

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog confronts the spin doctors. It's brilliant. One favourite moment: Triumph’s reworking of Jim Treacher’s sit-and-spin gag.

Also from Treacher: runaway Puce posts an on-the-road update.

Aw, poor Puce. Treacher needs to get out his butterfly net and go after him.

Watch Triumph with the spinners, and pay special attention to how Begala reacts. Then watch Triumph with the Star Wars nerds and notice how the one young woman (whom Triumph explains is surrounded by men who have no idea how to please her) reacts. The giggling seizures are nearly identical.

Oh man, I scrolled right past that! Can you guys figure out what the fuck he's saying?

For some perverse reason, I have had absolutely no urge to watch Conan ever since he announced he's taking over the Tonight Show. Maybe it's because I can't watch his reflexively self-deprecating schtick, knowing that he's got to be a pretty savvy operator to lock up the job five whole years in advance. Can you quit pretending you don't have any self-esteem now, O'Brien? Or is that the brand? Between him and Jon Stewart, who I actually still liked before 800 pedantic jerks started defending him in my comments... What was I saying? Oh yeah, Triumph. Bring back TV Funhouse, Comedy Central.

It's official: Treacher better than Conan. Stop or start the presses (depending on your status or ownership of presses). But, since I've always found Conan far more funny (or, more accurately, funny more than just in a while) than Treacher, I'll stick to that.

Don't worry, I'll be funny in just a while!

Finally got that Triumph thing to download. Smigel is fearless and he just sold another DVD. Whatever they're paying him, it's not enough.

As an alcoholic with subpar intelligence, it is inevitable I'll mistype or omit words every once in a while. Ok, always. As long as I keep doing that publicly, all is well. Ok, all will be well once I kill myself, but my toaster is currently in the shop and my damn liver refuses to give up without a fight.

Oh, now. I'm sure you're not an alcoholic.

From The Simpsons:

"My name is Barney and I'm an alcoholic."

"Mr. Gumble, this is a Girl Scout meeting."

"Is it? Or is it that you girls can't admit that you have a problem?"
