VICTIMS OF MASS DESTRUCTION

"Where are the bodies of evidence?" Phillip Adams asked a few months ago, shortly before Christopher Hitchens introduced him to reality. And here’s some more evidence for Adams, courtesy of the fine folks at Al Jazeera:

Hoping to unearth crucial evidence that could help in convicting deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, investigators said nine trenches in a dry riverbed at the Hatra site in northern Iraq contained at least 300 bodies, and possibly thousands.

Those buried included children still clutching toys.

"It is my personal opinion that this is a killing field," said Greg Kehoe, a US lawyer appointed by the White House to work with the Iraqi Special Tribunal.

"I have been doing grave sites for a long time, but I have never seen anything like this, women and children executed for no apparent reason," Kehoe said.

The same article reports that Saddam has endured another of those humiliating medical procedures:

Iraqi sources revealed today that the former Iraqi ruler underwent an operation to repair a hernia about 10 days ago but has made a full recovery, Iraqi sources said Tuesday.

The ousted dictator was taken to the Ibn Sina hospital near the US-controlled Green Zone for the procedure, which was performed by Iraqi doctors, according to sources close to the Human Rights Ministry.

UPDATE:

Mr Kehoe said that work to uncover graves around Iraq, where about 300,000 people are thought to have been killed during Saddam Hussein's regime, was slow as experienced European investigators were not taking part.

The Europeans, he said, were staying away as the evidence might be used eventually to put Saddam Hussein to death.

I had a hernia once and its not a nice thing, very uncomfortable.

Phillip Adams has also had a similar condition, he had his stomach stapled as he was eating too much and putting on weight. He was eating too much as he was under a lot of stress at the time, people just dont understand how hard it is to be intelligent, cultured and sensitive and have to deal with normal life, all at the same time.

My best wishes to Phil & Saddam

The massacred wouldn't have been murdered by Phillips resistance fighting brigades by chance would they?

Posted by: gubbaboy at October 13, 2004 at 10:34 PM

Yes, but according to the anti-war types, this still does not justify regime change. One has to wonder what would justify such action for these people. The one nice thing about the fact they are finally exposing this mass graves is that the morons claiming they don't exist will have a hard time making their case.

Funny how all those leftists who still argue that Howard is the King Herod of Australia for saying that children were thrown into the water and for keeping children in custody, are mute when faced with the facts that Saddam willingly murdered children.

Those who deny these atrocities are the first to apologise for evil. Such denial in spite of fact is wrong - but as we all know both facts and wrongs do not exist in the mind of Phillip Adams only subjective truths and cultural contexts of morality.

I have to wonder......does Karl have anything to say about this? I mean, when you step way back and look at the situation in a certain way, this is clearly another Bush-Saddam joint operation.

If the CIA was involved in any way, well, that's the icing on the cake!

If you read the whole article on the mass graves, you will discover that the European forensic investigators there are refusing to help because it might uncover evidence that would lead to a death penalty for Saddam!!!

Umm, what about the death penalty for all the women and children by Saddam? Oh yeah, maybe he can do community service or something.

Next Adams will fulmigate as to how the US caused these massacres by supplying Saddam with WMD, the US stands accused and convicted in Adams mindspace whilst Saddam is guilty of being a puppet

Adams is not suffering from a hernia but from chronic constipation through ingesting far too much of his own stulifying self importance which even a tonne of alphalfa will not assist this terminal condition.
He will slowly morph into a copy of one of his Egyptian mummies or pharonic phalluses he is want to admire so much

Sure Sadaam got medical treatment, but you just know it was at a woefully underfunded public hospital, or performed by a dodgy Dr Nick-style quack who left three swabs and a set of keys in there.

Monsters.
