• More good news, this time from Spain.

• Sometimes Photoshop is redundant. Remember this classic Keery image?

Kerry is again level with George W. Bush, according to this Gallup poll. But another poll -- taken among the group Kerry claims most to understand -- tells a different story.

• Bessie Bardot has just returned from Iraq, where she entertained troops at nine military bases. To discover exactly how entertaining this must have been, run a Google image search on her name.

• Looking to place your blog ad where it will reach the maximum number of spendthrift troubled loners? Iowahawk is what you’re looking for -- and it’s a better spend than Air America’s eyeball-repelling Morning Sedition.

That wasn't a pen, that was "Crest Whitestrips"

I would like to see more than the Post's assertion about 'Pocketgate' - where are the images that would allow this to be determined?

All I've seen so far is a left-handed reach to the pocket with his back to the audience, removing a [blur] and putting it on the podium.

I would like to see the [blur] resolved, one way or the other - if the Post has pictures, post them!

Best case, a minor violation of the debate rules - the debate staff should have put any pen on the podium, per the agreement. Worst case, purposeful cheating - though that seems unlikely.

Odd for a right-handed person to reach for a pen with the left hand, though - odd, but admittedly not bizarre.

Sound about right, if the pen were white, rectangular, could be unfolded, and laid out flat. I searched my office's supply catalogue for such a pen but had no success. Perhaps it's an astronaut pen.

The last sentence of the Bessie Bardot article is: At one base, Bardot and her fellow performers told an American soldier they were from Australia. I guess sloppy editing is not unheard of.
