FIGHTER BUNNIES ATTACK!
Margaret Drabble complains about cartoon faces with big sharp teeth on American warplanes; Andrea Harris demands happy bunnies instead; Evil Pundit creates a work of art for the ages.
UPDATE. New aircraft-related poll at left.

Oh, I only wish the nasty killer rabbit would find Jimmah.

Good thing she can't see what's illustrated with our extra-special-super-secret stealth paint, or she'd REALLY be pissed!
Posted by: geezer at October 1, 2004 at 03:20 AMWell, I suppose Ms. Drabble should be glad the tradition of painting scantily-clad on the sides of warplanes hasn't been resurrected. She might have a stroke.

This the kind of cute furry bunnies you had in mind? Bun-bun has been painted on some US tanks.
Drabble would probably object to WWII pictures of the 'Flying Tigers' (Gen. Claire Chenault's American Volunteer Group fighting in China).

And the P-40 Tomahawks of the (pre-nuanced) Royal Air Force 112 Squadron in North Africa, where the AVG got the idea.

Posted by: Robert Crawford at October 1, 2004 at 06:21 AMAbsolutely...all terrorists should hear "ka-CLICK" right before they die.
Posted by: Big Dog at October 1, 2004 at 06:38 AMActually, if I recall correctly, it was the Desert Air Force (RAF in the Western Desert) that started the shark-teeth motif.
Margaret ought to be careful. They're all around her.
(Didn't I read this in the run-up to the Iraq Campaign in late 2002 or early 2003?)

Between that and George Soros's "America Coming Together", I wonder these guys...

Just discovered Sluggy and spent most of yesterday afternoon reading the archives. Thanks a lot!!
It's easily the best comic I've seen in the last 5 years.
