Unbalanced ALP leader Mark Latham used to keep a picture of Richard Nixon in his Sydney office. Maybe that’s the cause of Latham’s Nixon-like paranoia:
Mark Latham today called on Prime Minister John Howard to sack ministerial staffer and alleged dirt-digger Ian Hanke.
The opposition leader renewed an appeal to his political enemies to lay off his family and also made it clear he did not believe Mr Howard's denial of the existence of a government dirt unit digging into Mr Latham's past.
Mr Latham said he wanted Mr Howard to disband the unit and sack Ian Hanke, who worked for Workplace Relations Minister Kevin Andrews.

You can just see the voters in the swinging seats wondering why they should elect a tosser like Latham. The man has been given every opportunity to shine by the biased media hacks and still he can't realise that it's best not show his looniness in public.
I would say that he will completely fall apart during the election campaign.

George W. Bush - Pro Life ??? - Not always it would seem !!!
In the winter of 1971 George W. Bush was dating a young woman (then 15!) named Robin Lowman (now Robin Garner). Miss Lowman became pregnant by Bush and he arranged for her to have an abortion - which in the great state of Texas in 1971 was very very illegal!!!
Not to mention that George W. ran as a pro-life candidate for the Presidency.
The unamed source of this story, was a friend of Robin Lowman's and the girlfriend of the man who arranged the abortion. His name is Robert Carl Chandler.
Chandler is a Bush friend and supporter from way back and he made the arrangements for Miss Lowman's abortion at the Twelve Oaks Hospital in Houston, TX (now the Bayou City Medical Center). The source overheard the call by Mr. Chandler to arrange the abortion and the source visited Robin Lowman at the Twelve Oaks Hospital after the procedure.
The source meanwhile, is afraid of coming forward, saying that she was threatened by Chandler and another Bush friend and supporter named Jim Bath. Bath has longstanding intelligence connections, and played a role in the BCCI scandal.
James Bath is also linked directly to both the bin laden family (as he was the bin laden construction co. representative in houston for years) and George W. Bush who he served with in the Texas Air National Guard. He also helped Dubbya set up his first company Arbusto in which he was a foundation investor.
Robin Lowman (now Garner) is married to Jerry Lee Garner who is an FBI agent.
So how come an illegal back room abortion was arranged by the current President who campaigns as a pro-life candidate ???
What's more why does the Christian right align itself with such a moral void, not to mention a long term alcoholic and ex-druggie???
Maybe its because many of them are more interested in extreamist politics than they are in Christ!
