WE BE WICKED

Some guy, says he's from al Qaeda, describes Australian Prime Minister John Howard as wicked. Foreign minister Alexander Downer’s response:

"The feeling is entirely mutual."

In other Australian political news, NSW premier Bob Carr isn’t as smart as he thinks he is:

"A Pentagon report on global warming, recently leaked, describes how abrupt climate change could destabilise the geopolitical environment. Wars. Food shortages. Fights over fresh water. Disrupted energy supplies."

Carr is a sucker for enviro-doom stories. So, evidently, is the SMH’s Paul Sheehan, who doesn’t point out that the leaked Pentagon report isn’t a Pentagon report and wasn’t leaked.

"Wars. Food shortages. Fights over fresh water. Disrupted energy supplies."

This is all happening now.

I'd expect more from Sheehan than to fall for that tripe.

Oh no! A terrorist organisation specialising in murdering the innocent doesn't like us! Ohhh the shame, the hurt the anguish I am feeling right now. How do we get back on side with Al Qaeda? Any suggestions?

"... America's carnal house of the civil war"

was there only one brothel available to the brave boys in the blue & grey? Was it in a border state with a northern door and a southern door? Did they take both currencies? So many questions...

Never let it be said the modern US Army doesn't take care of its troops. "Carnal houses?" We had a whole street a'them things outside Benning, all along Victory ("VD") Drive...

Monbiot in the Guardian also enlists the Pentagon as his ally in his article "Beware the fossil fools".
"This belief must be shared by the Pentagon, whose recent report pictures climate change as the foremost threat to global security."

In addition to being fools, those that doubt Monbiot's shining certainty are dolts & nicompoops.

When Al Queda call you 'wicked', you must be doing something right (unless they meant it in an Ali G sense?).

Go John Howard - respekt!

Also jackaninnies and lollygaggers

I boggled out at the bilge of Carr and Sheehan, would have laughed heartily except for one thing, Carr aims to ram Kyotto upon the heads of all and sundry.

Expletives can only be exhausted in spitting out the sheer craven ductile, venal policy Carr is bent on. Nothing civilised nor urbane about Carr, he himself has spelt out why.

Posted by: d at April 28, 2004 at 11:40 AM

Yeah maybe he means it in the Lenny Henry context of 'wicked'.

Like "The way your awesome JDAMs and kick-ass special forces ninjas slaughtered our illiterate collection of goat-fucking islamic hillbillies and sent the survivors bolting for their lives across the Pakistani border was wick-eeeed!"

This may get legs a few times - especially with the new disaster movie coming out. Check out the email that NASA sent

and the humbled US has to plead with Mexico to allow masses of American refugees fleeing the ice to cross the border.

That's why I like Hollywood, it's senarios are always so well grounded in historical precedent. History is full of examples of agressive, heavily armed populations, desperate for new territory or fleeing climate change, politly asking to cross borders. Then, when refused, sadly turning around and trudging back home with their massive armies.

speaking of Downer, did you see who's running against him at the next election - Adelaide Magistrate Brian Deegan. Geez, who'd have thought that would happen.

I love the quote. Downer must be channeling Rummy.

Got an offer over on my blog. Any takers?
