PIXEL POLITICS

It's a quagmire, with no exit strategy in sight! The bloody Google wars continue:

The first victim was President George Bush, who found last year that his official White House website biography came top of Google's results whenever someone typed in the phrase "miserable failure". Now a battle between Mr Bush's opponents and supporters has catapulted the White House profile of Jimmy Carter, and the home page of writer and filmmaker Michael Moore, to second and third spot in the "miserable failure" stakes.

No longer. Click here for today’s “miserable failure”.

Who the hell really cares? Who searches for "miserable failure" anyway?

Attention, ideologues of all persuasions with too much time on your hands! Drop this waste of time and come and join Yobbo and myself in our righteous quest to raise Yobbo's anti-Qantas rant to a respectable position in the Google search qantas. As you can see, we've already made the front page. Our goal is the top five!

Who the hell searches for "Qantas" either ?
Do yourself a favour and hijack the phrases "bomb" and "porn"

As a fat, sweaty, unfunny lardo who fell backwards down a well and landed on millions of dollars, I wouldn't classify Moore as a failure.

He should be coming in at #1 on "fat idiot".

I'm still very partial to "factless burger hoover"

"Calorically gifted grifter?"

Is this actually suggesting that President Bush actually did a search for miserable failure and found himself? I find that a tad unlikely.

Come on, everyone knows that Bush and the neo-cons only search for "Zionist oil plot to take over the Middle East" just to make sure their page is still there.

Carlton's load of bile against the Prime Minister goes, is part, like this:
And you, John Howard, you will play the donkey," said Mrs Murdstone, the sere and angular dominatrix of the Earlwood South public school.
.....
But it was always the way. Chosen last for the cricket team, invariably ordered to muck out the inkwells, inevitably dragooned into cleaning up the playground after lunch, John Winston Howard at the age of eight had conceived a fierce hatred for the NSW state school system and all who sailed in it."

Later in piece he says: "Howard produced not a shred of evidence to demonstrate such wickedness."

Like a NYT columnist, seems like SMT scribes can write what they like. He certainly hasn't produced a shred of evidence for anything he's written.

Howard has, in fact, praised the state schooling that he and his wife received.

Why do the Howard-haters mention his middle name Winston?
Does it mean he shares the vision of Beatle John Lennon, with whom shares the same middle name?

It's highly unlikely that a MRS Murdstone occupied a position of power in a NSW public school in the thiries. Until the late 60s females in the public service had to resign on marriage.

OOps, posted in the wrong place!

Mike G: No, it means a bunch of people linked to GWB's bio with the words "miserable failure" so that Google would associate those keywords with that page. Then they encouraged all their friends to search for miserable failure and BEGAT TEH HILARITY!

Moore's back in third. It's a horse race! Or if not horse, some other large mammal.
