I just came across this beer Fund for Jake Ryan - and it does not suprise me some of the comments that I been reading up on - which truly dismay me and others ...

Yarni, everyone handles grief and anger in different ways. And everyone handles media attention differently. When the expression of grief and anger, like Jake's, attracts media attention the ramifications for the aggrieved person can be complex and usually unintended. Save your anger for the bastards who caused this grief.

Excuse me, pal, but the Beer Fund was created, spontaneously, by Tim's many readers -- from around the planet -- who followed the Bali bombings and appreciated that Jake said to those bastards what we could not say for ourselves. We wanted to buy beers for Jake because we felt like we owed him some small thanks. Jake had nothing to do with it, except that he was gracious enough to accept our small token for himself -- and many of his friends.

And if you think that makes Jake some sort of mercenary, you should fuck the hell off.

You say "I reckon it time you moved on", yet you are trolling blogs for places to publically complain about Jake?

In this case to whine that readers of a website sent unsolicited (by Jake) contributions to 'buy him a beer' because he gave that little terrorist turd the public bollicking that he deserved.

Perhaps you should have a good, long, hard look at your own behaviour Yarni.

ON topic, this makes me want to attend a Cricket match. Of course, I probably wouldn't spend any time actually watching the match.

Commies disbelieve in the existence of spontaneous demonstrations of feelings by numbers of people. To them it’s all scripted, just like what their worshipped & emulated Uncle Joe used to arrange for.

Was it 100,000,000 of their own civilian citizens that commie governments murdered during the 20th Century? Or, gee, was it only 85,000,000?

We see the blood on your hands, hands dipped happily into blood already flooded out of 100,000,000 innocent victims, blood on the ratifying hands of every psycho leftist from Noam Chomsky to Malcolm Knox to Margaret Drabble, Renfields by the thousand desperately seeking a new Dracula to serve.

How naturally the infernal dreams of commies & fascists converge grand-harmonically again of late. Commies & fascists are, first & foremost, Renfields donning extreme but socially or intellectually “still respectable” cloaks of ideology accepted in their given society or part thereof. They run around like lunatics, shrilly pestering those who stand against them & their ilk & allies. Bugs that eat bugs & seek to aid & comfort emperor vampire roaches, Saddams, Jong-Ils, Pol Pots. Quite a tradition, if you can live down to it.

"Then, for an extra fee the wenches, or another girl from the same company, would do a private strip away from the ground for those fans who had had their fill of sun, drink and cricket."

Ohhh! Now I see why cricket matches can go on for days at a time!! You sneaky bastards, why didn't you tell us the truth about cricket?

On topic, I really like the beer wench pic.

I agree with ForNow about the picture. I didn't quite understand the headline, though, which suggests that Australians need a reason to drink beer.

Tim doesn't drink beer. He only drinks claret while horse-whipping peasants during his four-hour LUNCHES. Or so we are told.

And as for the beer wench - strewth! You don't get many of them to the pound, as they say. That is one girl who is never going to drown.

Beer? Babes? What kind of hellish dungeon are you Aussies running down there?

Shouldn't you be pondering how awful it is to drink alcohol (making yourselves feel good? When others are suffering?) and objectify these poor women, their bodies, with.... those..... luscious, bountiful breasts, tightly constrained by skimpy halter tops, slim waists, bootious bums, that long silky hair...........

But I digress. You're terrible people.

Really.
