HUGGLER!

The lie that never dies. Justin Huggler reports for The Independent:

... Mr Sharon, who has presided over the reoccupation of Palestinian towns and cities and the Jenin atrocities as Prime Minister.

Well, maybe the IRA bomber they just captured in Ramullah can explain how the Palestinians used IRA style booby traps to kill dozens of Israeli soldiers in Jenin. Birds of a feather...

You're overlooking the real atrocity committed by the Israelis in Jenin - the fact that they left most of it standing.

And the mother of all atrocities, the Jewish people themselves.

The Independent ( through reporter Phil Reeves) was the first to claim that a massacre must have taken place in Jenin because Reeves could smell c orpses and there was a lot of rubble. He stated this for a fact, not as a possibility, and in the bluntest terms possible.

It seems the Indy is unwilling to get to grips with the facts of Jenin, as established by an independent inquiry. Justin Huggler obviously realises no one at home base is gong to challenge his statement. It's passed into folk legend among the Israel-bashing papers.

Reeves's performance was even more shameful than you think, Dave. He reported on Israeli "atrocities" and "war crimes" as fact, and when the truth came out, he blamed the Palestinians for spreading hysterical stories about "massacres".

The Independent is the most disgusting newspaper in the free world.

Do you know were I can find web site with him blaming the Palestinians or basically admitting he was wrong about jenin? There are alot of people that wont accept he word of anyone less than him or fisk.

He's careful though, using the flexible word "atrocities".

Justin Huggler writes for the Palestine Chronicle.

A search of that site might produce what yuo are looking for, but I doubt it.

The Palestinians have no responsibility for anything that befalls them.

Hey d, careful... That comment is very easily misinterpreted. You made another comment here that was not totally loony, so I'm assuming you're not a troll. (You meant Arab POV, right?)

T.Y. Scott for the alert.

It is difficult these days, since the 80's really: anything smacking of even blunt irony passes overhead for many. Never indulge in subtle irony, let alone also dry,nor sarcasm and forbid genuine wit. We are, after all, living in a world made fit for only communistos not noted for their humour.

Life is becoming dreary. Last night I lapsed and avowed to give up the gapseers, but not cigars. It was only a passing moment of weakness, for it is hell enduring a world of dumbed down puritan shits well `represented' by the fuckers in Spring St.
